66 Block Half REN Line Terminator
Simulates a telephone with .5 REN on the line.
The 66 Block Half Line Terminator terminates a telephone line or analog station port at voice frequencies, changing the impedance of the line.
Changing the impedance of the line can correct quite a few problems:
- DTMF Recognition Problems
- Volume Problems
- Distortion Problems
- Echo Problems
Some equipment only works if there's a load on the line and adding one of these can be easier and less expensive than adding a phone or other device.
The 66 Block Half REN Line Terminator has proven to be very valuable for fixing voice mail and faxback DTMF and CNG tone recognition problems!
Connects in-series between the telephone line or analog station port on the left side of the 66 Block, and the telephone equipment on the right side of the 66 Block.
These work with split 66M blocks (66B1-50). They won't fit on a 66B block.
