One T1 carries 24 regular CO lines, or use a combination of voice and data on the same T1. Adding a T1 instead of CO lines can help you expand a system without many ports left.

I've used this Softcover 128 page book for many years. It's the handiest electronics reference book I've ever had!
I have a terrible memory for names, numbers and formulas! It really doesn't matter, as long as I know where to find the information I need to get a job done. This is the book I count on to give me resistor color codes, capacitor value abbreviations, the formulas for putting resistors and capacitors in-series and parallel, the markings for polarity on a diode, and a whole lot more.

Forrest Mims did a great job of writing this book so that just about anybody can understand electronics. It's perfect for what we use electronics for in the telephone business.
